Bug Trio (Princess Yauj, Vem, and Lord Kri)

Last updated: 7/28/26

This fight is identical to Vanilla, however unlike Vanilla, the bosses all have a single shared loot table. This means you do not have to kill them in a specific order to obtain certain loot. In SoD, they are typically killed Kri > Yauj > Vem (big, medium, then small).

All three bosses should be tanked far apart. Healers should be positioned in the center of the room, in range of all tanks, while the raid moves between each boss in the kill order.

Here are the abilities to watch for:

Lord Kri

  • Toxic Volley: Big AoE that applies a poison DoT on all nearby players within 30yd. Make sure to use poison cleansing totems or lots of dispels.
  • Cleave: Kri has a frontal cleave. Melee should be stacked on his ass.
  • Thrash: Kri can thrash the tank, causing a sudden burst in damage. Be ready with ample healing on the main tank while Kri is still alive.
  • Poison Cloud: When Kri dies, he leaves behind a giant poison cloud that damages players caught inside it. Run away.

Princess Yauj

  • Fear: AoE fear that resets Yauj’s threat table, similar to Onyxia and Nefarian. Fear Ward must be maintained on the Yauj tank at all times.
  • Great Heal: Yauj will attempt to heal herself and the other bosses. This is a 2sec interruptible cast, and interrupting it should be prioritized. The other bosses cannot be outranged from this heal.
  • Dispel: Yauj will attempt to dispel debuffs off of the other bosses. This is a 100yd range, making it difficult but technically possible to outrange the other bosses from, but ultimately it’s not a big deal if it occurs.
  • Yauj Brood: When Yauj dies, many small adds will spawn. These should be quickly focused down with AoE damage before moving on to Vem.

Vem

  • Berserker Charge: Vem randomly charges at raid members, which applies a knockback to any players he charges through, like Lava Surgers in Molten Core.
  • Knock Away: Vem will cast this on his current threat target. He should be tanked against a wall, so the tank doesn’t get knocked back very far.
  • Berserk: When Vem is the last boss remaining, he will go berserk. Just focus heals on the tank, it’s not that big of a deal.
  • Vengeance: If Vem dies before other bosses do, he will buff any remaining bosses with Vengeance, essentially berserking them. As we kill Vem last in SoD, this mechanic is ignored.

On this fight’s hard mode, your raid will have the following additional debuffs:

Curse of Despair (Rank 2): Shadow clones of each player spawn, chase their respective player, and detonate when they reach them. Each clone will only detonate if it reaches its own player, but the explosion hurts everybody.
